Challenge Soccer Teams

FWSC Challenge Soccer – 2026–2027 Season

Our Challenge teams compete in the NCFC Youth Challenge League, playing games throughout the Triangle area including Raleigh, Wake Forest, Cary, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, and Durham/Chapel Hill.

Challenge teams typically practice two evenings per week:

One team practice
On professional training session with Soccer Genome

All practices take place at our Oak Park Fields in Youngsville, NC.

Professional Coaching Included

Registration includes 20 professional training sessions with Soccer Genome:

10 sessions in Fall
10 sessions in Spring

These sessions focus on technical development and game understanding.

U8 / U9 Coed (8/1/2017–7/31/2019) - $710 + uniform kit
U10 / U11 / U12 Boys (8/1/2014–7/31/2017) - $725 + uniform kit
U10 / U11 / U12 Girls (8/1/2014–7/31/2017) - $725 + uniform kit
U13 Boys (8/1/2013-7/31/2014) - $725 + uniform kit
U14 Boys (8/1/2012-7/31/2013) - $725 + uniform kit
Tournament fees are not included.

Tryout Dates

All tryouts will be held at Oak Park Fields - Youngsville, NC

U8 / U9 Coed (8/1/2017–7/31/2019) - May 4th & May 5th — 6:00–7:30 PM
U10 / U11 / U12 Boys (8/1/2014–7/31/2017) - May 4th & May 5th — 6:00–7:30 PM
U10 / U11 / U12 Girls (8/1/2014–7/31/2017) - May 4th & May 5th — 6:00–7:30 PM
U13 Boys (8/1/2013-7/31/2014) - May 18th & May 19th — 6:00–7:30 PM
U14 Boys (8/1/2012-7/31/2013) - May 18th & May 19th — 6:00–7:30 PM
Players should attend both sessions if possible, but must attend at least one to be considered.

Important Registration Information

All players must create an account and register before tryouts.
Registration fees are not due until after a player is selected for a team.

What to Bring

Players should bring:

Soccer cleats
Shin guards
Water
Proper soccer attire

Where are the games played?

Our challenge teams play in the NCFC Youth Challenge League. Games are played at WRAL fields in Raleigh mostly, but can also be played at other fields in the area including fields in Cary, Knightdale, Holly Springs, Raleigh, and Wake Forest. Most games can be traveled to within an hour. Games are typically played Saturdays or Sunday afternoons.
